It was so fun to chat with you about how to do more culture work within UME, particularly with the Web 3 start ups and engineers that you're currently working with.
I've begun to brainstorm how to create a curriculum that builds your clients' skills and capacity for leadership, collaboration, accountability, communication, embodying their mission, and org design as they scale mostly without an HR team.

Frequently asked questions:
Where are you based?
I live on Tongva land/Los Angeles, California. And, I was born on unceded Wurundjeri land, known as Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
What is a session like?
Sessions are 60-minute Zoom video sessions, with live captioning if you need. In a session, we will distil the focus of your commitment to pleasure and aliveness overall, the focus of the session, and then in each session it will be a combination of pleasure practices, intuitive movement, somatic practices, reflection questions.
The intention of these are to help you listen to yourself, acknowledge your barriers and pleasure dampeners, build self-trust, and invite in more pleasure and aliveness.
How is coaching different from therapy?
It really depends on the style of coaching and therapy, but very generally and crudely here’s how I would explain the difference.
Therapists are licensed, and trained in institutions that have firm expectations of how things are done. Which is so helpful for heavier experiences such as trauma. Generally, therapy is focused on finding clarity and resolution with past experiences, but not necessarily future focused.
Whereas, despite the fact that I have training and certification, coaching is a more unregulated industry. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) has requirements, ethics, and approaches, but not everyone is required to follow them. As for the focus, coaching is usually more focused on the future and moving towards what you care about most, and feeling in alignment, through practices. With somatic coaching, we focus on how to notice what you care about and take action through standing, seated and lying movement practices. There is an emphasis on noticing the whole self (thoughts, feelings and sensations) not just talking and thinking your way through an experience. As for focusing on the past, my approach and my training lineages will acknowledge the past, traumas, survival strategies (I call them wise protectors), safety shapes, and our socialisation for the sake of integrating them and softening them as we move towards what we care about more. Coaching is also often an opportunity for supported self reflection, rather than But not attempt to resolve, fix or clear them.
If you have more questions about this distinction, please let me know!
What is your approach to privacy?
No sessions are recorded unless you want recordings of particular practices.
Session notes are saved in a Google Drive folder, which no one else has shared access to.
All our communicated inbetween sessions are on Signal, which is an end-to-end encrypted messaged app, where even Signal doesn’t have access to your messages.
I don’t speak with anyone but you about your sessions and explorations. What you say stays in sessions, and what is learnt leaves.
What is your experience of working with Black, Indigenous, and People of People of Colour?
About 60% of my clients are people of colour, and I work with Indigenous people, Black people, Blak Indigenous people, and People of Colour in all my offerings.
To support my unlearning of White Supremacy culture and transmuting my Whiteness I have mentors, a coach who guides me if I face challenges, ongoing racialised somatic training, and self-organised politicised healing group. These spaces are to support me to unlearn and process, without putting on expectation or responsibility on my clients to help me do this.
Are you open to working with people you already know personally?
Yes, I am open to working with people I have existing relationships with (except immediate family). I’d love to support and resource you.
I hold privacy and a distinction between work and life with high rigour and clarity. I won’t mention you or any details of working together with anyone. The only exception is if I see you in person and you mention in friend of others, then I will respond.
My only request is that you don’t expect to share updates or ask for guidance outside sessions and group spaces unless I ask and invite them.
Can I do 1:1 Embodied Remembering coaching with you if I’ve already done 1:1 coaching with you before?
Yes, absolutely!
