Melt throughs, the lived experience and a free supportive resource

As many of you already know, I’ve been going through a “melt through”. The pipeline between a meltdown and breakthrough. A term my nesting partner has lovingly named this period of transition and foundational rearranging.

I’m finally starting to see more glimpses of the breakthroughs after a focused time of ushering in the next level. But damn though it’s been a wild ride. Jokes on me for committing to new priority values and ways of being. My somatic lineage works with commitments, and this commitment has been my greatest commitment of all. I didn’t realise how much needed to be washed away for these new ways to exist. But it’s worth it!

As I’ve been devoted to these changes, I’ve been seeking insightful mentors, knowing elders and wise guides with similar lived experiences. Like, I’m obviously not the first person to experience a great rearranging! I’m seeking the people who have walked through the fire, and are turning back towards me to say: “I’ve been there, I get it.” Perhaps even “I’ve got your back. Stand on my shoulders. Here’s a possible path towards something even greater than before.”

But where are they? Finding these people with these universal but niche experiences has been surprisingly, not surprisingly, challenging. I haven’t wanted or needed therapy or modalities, I’ve needed wisdom and insight. A peek into what is on the other side. An opportunity to embolden my hope during this time of a rude amount of commitment and surrender.

In the meantime, my relationships have been my deepest nourishment. My wise, brilliant, skilled, loving dearest people. Being a listening ear, coaching me, holding me, singing my praises and potential, asking beautiful reflective questions, witnessing my bratty tantrums, and loving me through it all.

But I’ve wanted people who got “it” intimately. The cliche and true “I see you, I feel you”. A friend of mine, Eric, suggested I do some free sessions with people through Warmer, a network of everyday experts who have the huge range of different life experiences. I was excited to find two people who felt ideally aligned, who have lived similar experiences to me and got it.

The sessions have been a balm. The cyclical questions running through my head of “How can I continue to become the person I want to be? What is on the other side? What can I do now for the sake of the future I care about?” They have begun to quieten. These mentors have been gently wise, attentively listening, insightful, and with a knowing smile as they’ve been on this path. Of course there’s moments they’ve shared something that doesn’t align or resonate with my experience, but I’ve been able to pause and discern why they didn’t land, not take it on personally, and move on.

Since my sessions, I’ve been sincerely and enthusiastically recommending that my people sign up for Warmer, as it’s free and has already offered me so much support.
