The possibilities of our Unfurling
UNFURLING is a group space for us to tenderly and playfully unfurl and allow more pleasure and more aliveness.
Why do it together? Because aliveness and pleasure is an inherent language of existing that we were born feeling and expressing them.
Pleasure is a direct path to feeling more alive.
Embodiment is a direct path to feeling more nourishing connection.
I believe we exist to feel good and be in mutuality with ourselves, each other and the earth. But we’re been socialised to forget them, to dampen them, and now most of us are fumbling as we try to remember pleasure. Like they’re the melody that’s always playing but we’ve forgotten the words to, or the dance we’ve always known but stumble doing.
Healing gets to feel playful and joyous, even when it’s tender and we feel resistance to stay as we are! So together, we will remember and embody our possible pleasure and aliveness.
We will explore intuitive movement, play, creativity and somatics practices you can integrate into your day-to-day life. As these are opportunities to pause, listen to ourselves, and experiment with feeling more alive.
We will experiment with how to soften and open, while feeling grounded and centred. Because a fluid, soft and open soma (whole self) is more receptive to the possibilities for pleasure and aliveness in each moment.
We will explore our emergent and ever-shifting languages and expression of pleasure and aliveness.
We will build deeper relationship and alignment with our self-trust, our bodies, and our pleasure.
UNFURLING is for you, if you’ve been cultivating your pleasure, and your pleasure feels like a tree sapling or lush young tree that has transformed and is taking deeper root. Now, your pleasure deserves ongoing tending to, fresh and nourishing nutrients, and an ecosystem/collective space that supports mutual flourishing.
Mini Unfurling is ideal for you if:
You have read my book and want to dive deeper into practices to feel more alive in a supported way.
Have been a part of Unfurling before, and want to feel supported in another season of exploring your aliveness and pleasure.
Want to explore somatic coaching that is a combination of silly and sincere.
You want to understand your own "pathways" to feeling and remembering how to feel more alive in day to day life.
Our collective crisis of disconnection and distrust
We live in a collective crisis where we’ve been socialised to distrust, dampen and distance ourselves from our ourselves, our bodies, and our pleasure.
We’ve been taught to fear what might arise if we pause and listen and be with ourselves, our bodies, and our pleasure. So we clamp down pleasure and aliveness with our learnt guilt, shame and fear. We’ve been socialised in our bodies to remain small, tight, quick and silent. To not feel and express pleasure and aliveness or we will be unsafe and banished.
That is why we unfurl together. So we remember we’re not alone in our dampening of our pleasure, or our desires to feel more alive, more often. So we can be held, mirrored and resonate as we inevitably fumble and feel resistance as we express our pleasure and aliveness.
So we can move towards pleasure while tenderly and playfully unlearn our shared experience. As we safely and playfully loosen the grip of our wise but now limiting survival strategies, and the seven socialised characters I’ve identified working with thousands of people. We explore how to feel safety and a sense of connection and belonging in other embodied ways.
So what if the song of pleasure is within us, waiting to be remembered?
What if you saw your pleasure as a messenger for your most precious needs and wants?
But what if in this group space we were co-creating a pleasure-based world? One where we create space to remember pleasure in each moment.

Frequently asked questions:
I’m interested but not sure if this is right for me.
So exciting that you’re curious! Feel free to send me questions and feels, and then most importantly go talk to a tree, go for a swim, sit on the earth and ask your body and sensations if this is what you need and want at the moment.
Where are you based?
I live on Tonga land/Los Angeles, California. And, I was born on unceded Wurundjeri land, known as Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
Do you need to attend live?
Yes ideally, this is where the magic happens. In connecting, feeling, and sharing in live time. Every session is recorded as a great Plan B if you can’t make it, but it’s always encouraged to join live.
What is the time commitment for UNFURLING?
There are 3 weekly sessions. Then outside of the sessions there is no official study or homework. However, we encourage you to build a pleasure practice through imperfectly microdosing pleasure, self-reflection and movement that you learn in the sessions. While also integrating into your life at the pace that you need.
What is a group session like?
Sessions are 120-minute Zoom video sessions, with live captioning. In each session, everyone is encouraged to have their videos on while showing up in the capacity and comfort they need to participate. People are also encouraged to share through the chat box and unmute and share.
How many people are in UNFURLING?
It is capped at 32 people, so that everyone can have space to share and receive support.
What is your approach to privacy?
In the group, we have a privacy agreement: “what is said here, stays here. What is learnt here, leaves here.” So I don’t speak with anyone but you about your sessions and explorations, and everyone in the group is the same.
Sessions are recorded for those who can’t make it live, and hosted on Zoom or Google Drive, with access through the online group space.
What is your experience and competency for working with Black, Indigenous, and People of People of Colour?
Currently, about 40% of my clients are People of Colour. I work with Indigenous people, Black people, and Brown people in all my offerings.
I am committed to building safety in myself and my offerings for people of colour to feel confident to work with me. To support my racialised unlearning and transmuting my Whiteness, I have mentors, a coach, ongoing racialised somatic training, and self-organised politicised healing group focused on unlearning Whiteness. These spaces are to support me to generally learn and process any harm I may cause, without putting on expectation or responsibility on my clients to help me do this.
For Mini Unfurling, Toya Ricci, is the group’s somatic support person, who cal offer support you if you need or want.
Are you open to working with people you already know personally?
Yes, I am open to working with people I have existing friendships with (except immediate family). I’d love to support and resource you.
I hold privacy and a distinction between work and life with high rigour and clarity. I won’t mention you or any details of working together with anyone. The only exception is if I see you in person and you mention in friend of others, then I will respond.
My only request is that you don’t expect to share updates or ask for guidance outside sessions and group spaces unless I ask and invite them.
What is intuitive movement?
How I define and practice intuitive movement is as: A free movement practice guided by self-trust. It’s a playful ritual to pause, listen, remember and rekindle self-trust. In the practice you allow your pleasure to guide your movements, and respond to your sensations, impulses, needs and wants.
The intention is to allow yourself to move, to be moved, become unstuck, express emotions, soften, shift states, open yourself, be fluid, and be receptive. To feel what is there waiting to be heard.
Different movements can reveal different feelings and experiences, and in turn expand our spectrum of known choices.
I’m currently processing a crisis and/or trauma, and need support and resourcing. Is UNFURLING the right space to do this?
In short, no. Although I have training in trauma and crisis support, I am not a therapist or trauma specialist.
